About PicMotif

PicMotif was inspired by the founder's life-long passion for photography, desiring a better way to showcase his photos. Other mosaic generators crop and colorize your photos, often making them barely recognizable. None of them make your mosaic interactive. PicMotif preserves the fidelity of your photos, even panoramas, and transforms them into stunning mosaic artworks. Before creating PicMotif, he handcrafted these mosaics on Etsy and sold them as posters. The response was overwhelmingly positive, including a few mentions of tears as mosaic gifts were opened.

PicMotif now makes these mosaics available to everyone. Whether you want to create a personalized gift, showcase your photos as wall art, commemorate an event, or simply explore and share your creativity to friends, PicMotif makes it easy and fun.

Upload your photos, then select which ones to highlight and which to use to fill out the shape. Next, choose from hundreds of shapes or select a font and type your own custom text. Watch as your photos are arranged into a beautiful mosaic. Every mosaic is unique, just like the memories behind your photos.

With a subscription, you can design and upload your own shapes which is great for sharing the photos of specific events. You can also share ultra high resolution interactive mosaics where every photo, no matter how small, can be clicked for a full size preview, a description and even shared comments.
